MY TIPS WHEN FLYING CEBU PACIFIC AIR INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT FROM NAIA3

June 23, 2023

MY TIPS WHEN FLYING  CEBU PACIFIC AIR  INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT FROM NAIA3

1. Arrive at the airport at least 4 hours before departure.

Since most of the airlines have completed transfer to terminal 3 already, expect long lines at immigration. It can range from 30min to 1 hour. If your flight falls on a holiday or a 3-day weekend, the line at immigration can be more than an hour. Others have experienced 2 hours at immigration

The Cebu Pacific check-in counter opens 5 hours before departure so you can choose to arrive earlier than 4 hours before departure.

2. Make sure to check in online even if they don't issue a boarding pass.

The line is usually shorter for those who checked in online.

3. Pay travel tax online to reduce the time lining up at the airport.

You can go to tieza.gov.ph or myeg.ph. If you pay using credit card or debit card, the acknowledgement receipt is emailed to you in 5 min.

3. Get the etravel.gov.ph qr code. It replaces the paper immigration card

Even if they don't scan it, sometimes they ask you to show it before you can enter the immigration area.

4. Make sure you're at the gate 1 hour before departure.

Cebu Pacific usually changes gates at the last minute and they herd the people to the new gate. The monitors don't get updated. It's OK if the new gate is near the old gate. But if it's far, you can be easily be left by the plane if they make the last boarding call and don't see people near the gate. People without check in luggage are easily bumped off. There's no luggage to unload from the plane.

MY EXPERIENCE CHECKING IN WITH CEBU PACIFIC AT FUKUOKA AIRPORT

MY EXPERIENCE CHECKING IN WITH CEBU PACIFIC AT FUKUOKA AIRPORT

1. The check-in counter opens only 3 hours before the flight.

Here is the flight display showing the different opening times of the airline check-in counters.

2. Cebu Pacific staff weighs the hand-carry baggage during check-in to make sure it's within the 7kg weight limit.

When we checked in last May 2023, they didn't weigh the small bag that you're allowed to carry in addition to the hand-carry baggage. They just weighed the handcarry baggage we brought.

1. Comfortable legroom.

- You can't recline the seats so seat pitch is not reduced. But the seats are very comfortable even if you cannot recline them.

3. USB port assigned to each seat to charge your devices.
- They turn the power off at take off and at landing.

4. Freebies that you can win from joining the games conducted by the flight attendants.

HOW TO CANCEL A GO FLEXI CEBU PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT

September 30, 2022

HOW TO CANCEL A GO FLEXI CEBU PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT

If you purchase a go flexi flight, you can cancel your flight and get a refund that will be deposited to the travel fund. What they're not telling you is that you get only a partial refund of everything you paid for the flight, as shown below. So beware when canceling your flight or when you choose go flexi thinking the amount you paid is refundable. Not everything you paid is refundable.

HOW TO FOLLOW UP THE REFUND STATUS OF YOUR CANCELLED CEBU PACIFIC FLIGHT

September 18, 2020

HOW TO FOLLOW UP THE REFUND STATUS
OF YOUR CANCELLED CEBU PACIFIC FLIGHT

You can request your refund's status through the Guest Feedback form on the Cebu Pacific site: https://www.cebupacificair.com/pages/guest-feedback.

When you fill out the form, under Type of Feedback, select "Request". Then for the Category, choose "Flight Cancellations/Changes Options". Indicate the booking reference number of the flight for refund. They reply via email. In the email, they will inform you when they processed it. And from my experience, you can count 5 months from the date they processed it, until they refund it in the same mode of payment you used to pay for the flight. I paid by credit card and they refunded it to my credit card.

MY STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE on How to get a FULL REFUND ONLINE on CANCELLED FLIGHTS of Cebu Pacific Airlines

March 17, 2020

MY STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE on
How to get a FULL REFUND ONLINE
on CANCELLED FLIGHTS
of Cebu Pacific Airlines

I received this message on my email and my sms a few days ago ago that my flight to Fukuoka on March 27-29, 2020 was canceled.

Cebu Pacific gave 3 options:

1. Rebook up to 30 days from your original flight schedule.

2. Store the value of your booking in a full travel fund which you can use in future Cebu Pacific flights, valid up to 90 days.

3. Get a full refund.

First of all, I purchased this flight with getgo points and paid the taxes using my credit card. I did not pay travel tax together with my booking.

The getgo points I used is 18,600 points. I paid 5672.46 pesos via credit card.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

Log in to  your Cebu Pacific get go account at cebupacificair.com

Click the affected flight.

This is what you'll see if you click on the affected flight.

If you click refund as shown above, this is what you will see.

Click "continue" for a full refund.

After choosing full refund,  the system does not automatically credit to your account the getgo points used to purchase flights that were canceled by Cebu Pacific.  You need to go to getgo.com.ph afterwards, log in at your getgo account and make a separate request to reverse points. How to do it is shown below.

CEBU PACIFIC AIRLINES: Step-By-Step guide on How to Get a Full Refund Online for Change of Flight Schedule

February 20, 2020

CEBU PACIFIC AIRLINES:
Step-By-Step guide on How to Get a Full Refund Online
for Change of Flight Schedule

This article is about an airline-initiated change in flight schedule. You receive an email or text that your flight booking had a change of schedule. If the change in schedule is more than an hour from the original schedule, passengers are given 3 options in case the new flight schedule is not acceptable:

1. Rebook or reroute to an alternate airport up to 30 days from original flight schedule
without charges.

2. Get a full travel fund which can be used up to 90 days from the date of creation.

3. Get a full refund.

What I'm going to show is how to get a full refund online, which is the third option.

STEP ONE. GO TO THE CEBU PACIFIC WEBSITE AND LOG IN TO YOUR CEBU PACIFIC ACCOUNT

After logging in, you can view all your bookings.

2. CLICK THE BOOKING YOU WISH TO REQUEST FOR REFUND. THEN CLICK "MANAGE".

3. CLICK "REFUND TICKET".

After clicking "Refund Ticket" , note that the refund will be made in the same form of payment you originally made. If you paid via credit card, it will be refunded to the credit card you used to book this ticket. If you paid using paypal, it will be refunded to the credit card registered with paypal that you used at the time of booking

WARNING!!! CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DON'T ATTEMPT TO GET A REFUND ONLINE IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO YOU:

1. If the credit card you used to book this flight is no longer existing, expired or inactive.

It will create a bigger problem and can cause delay if you choose to refund the ticket online and they attempt to credit the refund to an expired or inactive credit card.

2. If multiple guests are booked in one booking reference number and not all of the guests wish to cancel and get a refund.

If one of the guests booked in the same booking does not agree to the chosen option, you should call customer service so they can address each guest separately. Executing this option online requires that all guests agree on one option.

AS YOU CAN SEE BELOW
YOU GET A FULL REFUND FOR THE FARE AND ALL TAXES
FOR AIRLINE INITIATED CHANGE OF SCHEDULE
OR FLIGHT CANCELLATION.
