I tried the Manille Liqueur de Dalandan recently by Destileria Limtuaco, the oldest distillery in the Philippines, crafted in partnership with Margarita Fores. And it was quite good. It's so good that you can actually enjoy it in different ways. You can chill it and drink it straight, so it can serve as a palate cleanser. You can also drink it after meals as a dessert coz it's sweet and citrusy enough to be used as a refreshing dessert drink, without being cloyingly sweet. Or you can make a quick cocktail out of it. Just mix in some ice and or sparkling water. 

The liqueur is vodka based with 24% alcohol.

Lounge access is COMPLIMENTARY to cardholders of BDO American Express Platinum credit card, Unionbank credit card, BDO Diamond rewards card, Security bank credit card, among others. Please check the website of your credit card company. Lounge access benefits vary per card, and per card type.

If you don't have the following credit cards, you can walk-in and use the lounge for 3 hours  by paying 1400 pesos or 25 USD. 

LOCATION: after immigration and security, adjacent to Bay 9, West Satellite. 

Note: Buffet is halal certified

MY TIP: Arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight so you'll have time to use the lounge. If it's a long weekend, you must arrive at the airport at least 4 hours before a flight.

My review: Spicy on the nose. White pepper, liquorice, plum, with a hint of vanilla. It's a Shiraz co-fermented with viognier. Complex and delicate flavors at the same time. Long finish. Absolutely wonderful and superb flavors.

My review: Plum and black cherry. Perfectly balanced salty and sweet, savory with a hint of oak. Pairs perfectly with cured meats like prosciutto and Jamon Serrano. It can also double as a dessert wine coz it does well in cleansing the palate after a meal.

WHAT WINE TO PAIR WITH THE SIGNATURE PORK RIBS OF BLAKE'S WINGS AND STEAKS 

Last night's meal was superb! I simply must mention my discovery of the perfect pairing of Blake's Wings and Steaks signature pork ribs with the 2019 La Crema Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. 




We know about the congruent and contrasting pairings of wine and food. This is a congruent pairing of flavors. They enhance and amplify each other's flavors. You should try it! 

MY REVIEW OF BLAKE'S SIGNATURE PORK RIBS:

Very tender, juicy and tasty, with a hint of smoke. The flavors are so well balanced, you can't stop eating it. It never overwhelms. The corn and carrot siding is a perfect accompaniment and goes very well with it. 




The small party tray comes with 16 pieces of meaty ribs and could feed 5-8 people.




I ordered it online for delivery and service was very efficient. It arrived on time.


MY REVIEW OF THE 2019 LA CREMA SONOMA COAST PINOT NOIR:

Minerals, moss and cherry on the nose. A burst of light sweet cherries on the palate. Light and refreshing with a hint of oak. Sweet long finish.

My Review of Seda Hotel, 
Bonifacio Global City

LOCATION: Very good. It's very near good restaurants, shopping malls and offices. Everything you need is walkable from Seda Bonifacio Global City.

SERVICE::Check in was smooth and fast. We requested wine glasses and it arrived immediately. 

ROOM: The standard room was great in terms of cleanliness, spaciousness and amenities

However, I suggest that at least 2 bottles of water per person should  be given per day instead of just one. It's inconvenient asking for more everytime. 

The pillows are not that great and needs to be changed. 

There are no hand towels in the toilet. 

But the basic amenities that go with the standard room is sufficient for a comfortable stay. See photos below.
